John S. Hammett

John Hammett has been a pastor, missionary and for the past 23 years, a professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He was born in Virginia but grew up in South Carolina and is a graduate of Duke University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His academic interests are the doctrine of the church, the atonement, and theological anthropology. His personal interests are sports of all kinds (especially Duke basketball) and reading mystery novels. He has been married for 42 years and has two adult children.
