John Stark has worked with and advised more than 100 manufacturing companies in more than 20 countries. He has experience in all areas of the product lifecycle with companies in a wide range of industry sectors. Stark's books propose concepts and approaches with which companies can address and improve their product-related performance. His first book was published in 1986, his most recent - "Products2019: A project to map and blueprint the flow and management of products across the product lifecycle: Ideation; Definition; Realisation; Support of Use; Retirement and Recycling" - in 2020. Stark is the author of the PLM foundation book, "Product Lifecycle Management: 21st Century Paradigm for Product Realisation". First published in 2004, it's now in its fourth edition. Google Scholar shows it has been cited in over 1,000 journal articles, technical reports, books and theses. After a PhD from Imperial College, London and a CERN Fellowship, Stark has worked with companies in many industries including FMCG, pharma, fine chemical, aerospace, automotive, transportation, medical devices, machine tools, power generation and transmission, electronics, computer, watch, precision machines, connectors, etc.
