John V. Robinson is a Guggenheim Fellow and a California Council for the Humanities recipient. John is author of nine books. Robinson's most recent book "The Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge Troll" tells the story of a small figure of a troll welded to the old Bay Bridge after the 1989 earthquake and since removed in 2013. He has appeared on radio and television programs including The History Channel's Modern Marvels: "The Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge" and National Geographic: "Break it Down." John V. Robinson currently teaches English at Cal-State East Bay in Hayward, CA. and Las Positas College in Livermore, CA.
