John Wesley (1703–1791) Wesley was an Anglican minister and evangelist who went on to be one of the leading founders of the Methodist movement which spread around the world to become one of the largest Protestant denominations. He authored several works as well as preserved and republished many others that he saw valuable for use in the spiritual growth and well being of Christian believers. Much has been published concerning Wesley and there is much more to be discovered than can be written in this brief biography. Many lives have been changed for the better from Wesley's life work and many more will be changed as a part of his continuing legacy. This is a small tribute for those grateful for the opportunity to be called Wesleyans after John Wesley’s great example as he lived and followed the example of the Lord Jesus Christ as his greatest life ambition.
