Johnna Haskell is an adventurer at heart, looking for transformative experiences in pedagogy, sports, flying, and everyday life. Johnna has a PhD in curriculum studies/science education with extensive research in flow pedagogy of outdoor education. She completed her MSEd in educational leadership. She attained her BS degree in animal science while minoring in studio art and outdoor education. Johnna’s work concentrates on flow pedagogy and outdoor embodied experience. Johnna’s broad depth of experience includes freelance wildlife photography, science educator, administrator, and university teacher for over 18 years in education before shifting her passion back to sharing her extensive perspectives on the body-mind-world. She has explored the outdoors via canoe, kayak, skis, rock and ice climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, and paragliding. Her pursuits have included climbing ascents of Denali (20,320 feet) and an attempt to paraglide off the summit of Kilimanjaro (19,341 feet) for a major charity event to help with water supplies in various African communities.
