Jonathan Scott is co-founder of Scott Brothers Entertainment and Scott Living. He and his twin brother, Drew, star in multiple HGTV series seen in over 150 countries by millions of fans. A New York Times bestselling author and one of People’s “Sexiest Men Alive,” Jonathan is also a bona fide social media influencer with over three million followers across his social platforms. Born and raised in Canada, Jonathan’s love of all things entrepreneurial began at age seven when he and Drew started their first business. By age 18, they were buying and flipping homes and by their mid-20s they had a thriving real estate, design and renovation business and had worked with hundreds of clients. He originally attended the University of Calgary for business, eventually transferring to Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the Home Builders Institute of Alberta where he studied construction and design. In addition to multiple business ventures early in his life, Jonathan also developed a passion for magic at a very young age. By his teens, he was actively performing as an award-winning magician and illusionist in and around his hometown. He and his brother began their performing careers in theater, TV and film as child actors and then eventually they were approached to host a home renovation show called My Dream Home, which later became Property Brothers. In addition to his television and social media success, Jonathan is one half of a rising global lifestyle brand, which includes multiple extensions into music, media and retail. He and Drew established Scott Brothers Entertainment, which produces engaging content for TV and digital platforms. Earlier in 2013, they expanded their brand and reach with the creation of Scott Living, which includes extensive indoor and outdoor furniture lines as well as home décor collections available at multiple national retailers. Scott Living surpassed one hundred million dollars in sales early in 2017. In 2015, Jonathan and Drew wrote and recorded two original tracks, “Hold On” and “Let the Night Shine In,” with Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson. The “Hold On” video received over 4M views on Vevo/YouTube and charted on the Billboard Hot Country chart within the first month of the release. Earlier this year, they put their own spin on Flo Rida’s wildly-popular single “My House” with 100% of the single’s proceeds being donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In April 2016, Jonathan released his first book, co-authored with brother Drew, entitled Dream Home: The Property Brothers’ Ultimate Guide To Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House. It was both a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best seller. Later in December of 2016, Jonathan co-hosted 24 Hours of Reality with former Vice President Al Gore, which brought in over 100 million views globally. As a longtime advocate for environmental responsibility and renewable energy, it was a monumental achievement for Jonathan and a perfect complement to the documentary series he has written and produced about solar and the energy landscape in North America. Based in Las Vegas, Jonathan enjoys exotic travel, performing magic and spending time with his girlfriend and dogs, Stewie and Gracie. He is passionate about the many charitable organizations he works with including World Vision, Habitat for Humanity & St. Jude.
