I'm a freelance writer, entertainment historian and playwright, born and raised in Los Angeles. My plays have been produced in Hollywood and Off Off Broadway. I've traveled all over Europe and elsewhere--Ireland is my favorite place on the planet--but researching and writing books like "Spike Jones Off the Record," "Acting Solo," "Reel Characters," "The Laugh Crafters: Comedy Writing in Radio and TV's Golden Age," and "The Beckett Actor" has been the great adventure of my life.
