Judy Sierra

Judy Sierra is the author of picture books that are both hilarious and educational, including read-aloud favorites Wild About Books and Antarctic Antics, both of which were New York Times picture book best sellers. Her wacky yet meticulous rhyming has been compared to Dr. Seuss and Mother Goose. Along with writing picture books, Sierra is a folklorist and storyteller. Her lively annotated anthologies of folktales have been awarded the Aesop Prize by the American Folklore Society, and are included in elementary school textbooks worldwide. Dr. Sierra and her husband live in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.
