Juliann Bistranin

Julie Bistranin was raised in the Shields Valley of rural Montana. Surrounding herself with animals, she easily joined their natural world. Her grandfather taught her that animals were teachers, and we journey through life with them. She studied dogs to understand their thinking and the characteristics of different breeds, so she could train them to reach their full inherent potential. After moving to Washington, she served fifteen years working at her local animal shelter, where she focused on evaluating, correcting behavior problems, and training. Helping dogs become better behaved, find loving homes, or be placed in suitable working situations was a source of great honor for Julie. Since retiring, she dedicates her time to writing and lives in Mt Vernon, Washington, with her husband, Mark. Look for her next book coming in 2025!
