K. A. Devlin hung up her high heels and brief cases several years ago to pursue a simpler life in the country and raise her children. How she went from writing appellate briefs to writing children's literature is still a mystery, but it seems to be working out well for her and her family. Actually, she always loved writing children's books, completing several while still practicing law, and she found much more joy in those endeavors than in cross-examining hostile witnesses. Previously known as a bit of a bull dog in the court room, she is now more of a kitten on the lap top, pawing the keys to create happy and joyful literature for children and those who help them read, as well as some fiction and even some non-fiction for adults. She resides in the midwest with her husband and children, cats, dogs, and yes, even a few goats!
