K. C. Boyd

K. C. BOYD, grew up in Ohio back in the day when religion was a personal thing. Decades later, Boyd awakened to a world where a growing number of radical right-wing Christians were collectively praying for the world to end so that Jesus Christ would return. After the 2004 election demonstrated the growing acceptance of the extreme Christian worldview among the right-wing, Boyd embarked on a strange and often frightening exploration of the far-right; attending evangelical services and conferences across the United States. Concerned about the increasing danger from mixing politics with end-times Christianity, she realized it was time to expose what she saw using fiction to convey her warnings. The result, born of close observation of key personalities, is Being Christian. Twenty years later, the urgency of now led Boyd to share her vision in her latest dystopian thriller, Secretary of Faith. It is incumbent upon readers of every stripe to understand where, without meaningful resistance, we may irrevocably be headed.
