Kara K. Root

Kara is a pastor, spiritual director, writer, mom, Minnesotan, and partner to a wily theologian. She has served the church in various leadership capacities for over twenty-five years. As the pastor of Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, for more than a fifteen years, she has led a community shaped around watching for God and joining in what God is doing in the world. She speaks, writes, and leads workshops on sabbath, creative worship practices, church transformation, and leadership.
