Karen Easterly-Behrens

I was born and raised in Washington DC and was fortunate enough to receive my entire education there. Kindergarten through College. My family consisted of 3 generations in one household. My immigrant grandmother with minimal use of the English language represented her Croatian culture daily. Washington DC is a fascinating place to grow up. My parents were diverse representations in my life. My father, from New York and my mother, raised in north western North Carolina. I obtained a RN degree, a Journalism degree and a Master's in business. I have been an RN for a very long time and I have used all of my degrees. I have worked in Trauma, ER and Airlift. I have also worked in the business side of healthcare. My personal life experience has exposed me to many different experiences and learning opportunities that leave me with much to share with others. So they do not need to learn the hard way.
