Karen GoatKeeper

关于作者

"I love to write." And, with seventeen books done, it shows for Karen GoatKeeper. There is no one genre. GoatKeeper's books range from nature to science activity to upper middle grade novels to adult novels and picture books. She illustrates her books using watercolor as well. "Hopes, Dreams and Reality" is the newest novel. Mindy, the main character, homesteads ten miles from town, the only person on the gravel road, waiting for Justin, her truck driving husband, to come home on layovers. A major storm washes out the road and leaves Mindy with no phone and no electricity which means no water. Then she finds her husband has been lying to her for years even as he pressures her to return to driving with him. "The Little Spider" is a new, charming picture book about a baby spider trying to move to a new home. "At the Laundromat" has just been published and is based on many years experience cleaning at a local laundromat. A new novel, tentatively called Life's Rules, is being planned. GoatKeeper is an enthusiastic entrant for NaNo (National Novel Writing Month), so the draft should be written in November. Karen GoatKeeper enjoys spending time with her small herd of Nubian goats, presently numbering fourteen. Her mixed flock of chickens thinks winter snow is disgusting, but hate to be locked inside. Her cats are house cats for the winter. Karen GoatKeeper has taught science. She has raised Nubian dairy goats for almost 50 years and called the Missouri Ozarks home for 30 years.
