My recent book, Imagining Equity, is about the gifts of Christian feminist theology and how they can be used to overcome sexism and patriarchy, which have so damaged women, children, the earth, and men. I show that God gives Israel the mission to bless all the families of the earth, advocating for those marginalized as outsiders. In other publications, presentations, and teaching, I feature Tamar, Zipporah, Rahab, Ruth, and others who are examples of God raising the oppressed. I teach Scripture, the Dead Sea scrolls, Judaism, women in the Bible, church history, biblical theology and preaching. My books and commentaries focus upon biblical exegesis and interpretation, as well as interpretative traditions among Jews and Christians. I have written commentaries on 1-2 Kings, Esther, Isaiah, and Numbers (in the Wesley Study Bible) and chapters in books on mixed marriage and open and relational theism. I also write and present on the dialogue between and contributions of science and theology, observing how they both reveal God’s truth.
