A longtime newspaper journalist, Karen Weintraub is now a health reporter with USA TODAY, as well as a journalism professor and book author. Her most recent book, with Michael Kuchta, is "Born in Cambridge: 400 Years of Ideas and Innovators," from MIT Press (May 2022). Her first book, "The Autism Revolution," with Harvard autism expert Dr. Martha Herbert, was published in April 2012, by Random House; her second, "Fast Minds: How to Thrive If You Have ADHD (Or Think You Might)," with Drs. Craig Surman and Tim Bilkey, in February 2013. Her journalism has appeared in a range of publications and websites, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Scientific American and STAT.
