Karina Martínez Vera woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, professional, speaker and activist. In her professional training two master's degrees in education stand out, one with focus on attention and the other one with a focus on inclusion. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis in education. As a contribution to humanity, she has written two stories and a book in which human rights are promoted, she designed and implemented the first worldwide professional training program in digital photography with a professional approach for people with Down syndrome. She currently directs the Mexican Institute for Research and Integral Development IMIDI A.C. and she believes that: "Dreams are to be fulfilled" for what she considers herself "promoter of dreams and generator of opportunities". The wonderful experience of being a mother of a person with Down syndrome has led her to successfully face various challenges and to find the key to enjoying a full life for people with Down syndrome.
