Karl Woodhouse was born and grew up in Romford, Essex. He worked in various jobs in many sectors. His longest stint was eighteen years in the IT sector for a great company in his hometown, and at the other end of the scale, only six hours as a telephone salesman for a double glazing company. Writing was one of his ambitions from an early age, and he published a few poems in charitable collections. It took a poorly performing pension prediction and dry workplace presentation to force his fingers to the keyboard to research and write his first book, Orsons's Lessons in Wealth. His goal was to teach his children about wealth building and help them avoid the same financial mistakes he made for most of his working life. He still lives in Romford but dreams of moving to live by the coast in Cornwall, his favourite place in the world.
