Karri Sisson is a veteran Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteer with over 10 years of experience in Arizona. She has taught SAR classes across the state, helping outdoor enthusiasts prepare for the challenges of hiking and exploring desert landscapes. Her extensive experience in wilderness navigation and safety has made her a trusted educator and mentor for adventurers of all skill levels. With over 25 years in the IT & Automotive industry, including three years as a Senior Software Engineer, Karri also brings technical expertise to her role as a professor of Programming and Data Analytics at Mesa Community College. Known for her engaging teaching style and passion for problem-solving, she inspires students to explore the intersection of technology and creativity. When not teaching or volunteering, she enjoys hiking, camping, and walking her dogs. Drawing from her diverse professional and personal experiences, she writes to educate and inspire readers.
