Kate Abdelmalek

My name is Kate, and for the past 12 years, I have worked as a senior product and graphic designer in the lifestyle and sporting goods world and have owned my own business. I am just getting into the world of children's books, with more creativity than I know what to do with! I have a good amount of experiencing concepting new ideas and bringing product and marketing strategies to life within different categories. I started writing children’s books because my daughter became really interested in reading and subsequently very attached to certain characters and stories. I wanted to create ones she would fall in love with and her creativity and little adventures inspire me every day! I like to draw from my own childhood nostalgia for these feel good childhood moments as well.
