Kate Atkin

关于作者

Kate Atkin grew up on her father’s arable farm in Lincolnshire where she spent weekends and holidays helping out around the farm. After the death of her elder sister in 1989, she left her job at Barclays Bank to backpack around Australia and New Zealand. Travelling alone over those months, Kate learnt to expect the unexpected and found reserves of inner strength, and confidence that she never realised she possessed. Now, as an inspirational speaker and expert facilitator, Kate has presented at conferences in North America and Europe as well as around the UK. Kate is a supportive and inspiring individual with high levels of energy, drive, and passion. In her speaking, training and coaching she acts as a catalyst for change, instils self-belief and encourages delegates to listen to their inner voices. She also shares her personal experiences, bringing theory to life. Kate challenges assumptions and uses theories in a practical way to help individuals, teams and organisations increase their communication and performance. For Kate the personal touch is essential. Kate is passionate about her own development, as well as that of others, and has completed a masters degree in applied positive psychology; she has a research interest in the imposter phenomenon, courage and self-efficacy and is undertaking a PhD. Kate has been quoted in the Financial Times, Oxford English Dictionary blog and written articles for several magazines. Kate is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association, member of the Global Speakers’ Federation, member of the Association for Coaching and senator of Junior Chamber International UK. A regular speaker on the Imposter Syndrome and the mindset needed to generate confidence, Kate works with companies and individuals who wish to bring about positive change.
