Kate Baker

Kate Baker is a writer and editor of children's books on subjects ranging from travel and adventure, to history, nature and mythology. Her books include Wild in the City, Highest Mountain, Smallest Star (Winner 2019 UMaine Correll Book Award), Walk This Wild World (Shortlist 2018 English Association 4–11 Picture Book Award) and Secrets of the Sea (Shortlist 2017 ALCS Educational Writers' Award). She divides her time between London, Devon and Spain, and when she’s not hunting down weird and wonderful facts for her books, she enjoys exploring country lanes and trips to the beach.
