Kate Skidmore

Kate Skidmore is an adventure-based, experiential, public educator in profession, practice, and perspective. She is a passionate storyteller, songwriter, and facilitator who weaves together images, stories, and songs to inspire hope, healing, and growth for children--of all ages--around the world. As a strength-based facilitator, Kate employs the Art of Collaboration and the Art of Imperfection to empower others, helping all of us grow from where we are to where we hope to be—within a culture of creativity. She believes that everyone has their own unique strengths to share and thrives in the reciprocal nature of a growth mindset culture, where she embraces being both a mentor and a mentee simultaneously. Kate is expanding her children’s I Spy Hope in My Life read-and-sing-along book series. The first book in the series, Moonlight: Wisdom from the Moon, is now available. She enjoys writing at the intersection of hope, wisdom, and nature.
