Katherine Schober

Katherine Schober is a German-English translator, author, and speaker specializing in German genealogy. She works with the old German handwriting on a daily basis, translating letters, diaries, church records, vital records, and more to help people discover the words of their ancestors. Through her books “Tips and Tricks of Deciphering German Handwriting” and "The Magic of German Church Records", as well as her self-paced online course “Reading the Old German Handwriting”, Katherine enjoys working with both aspiring and seasoned genealogists as they learn that they too can decipher the old German script. As a passionate teacher and speaker, Katherine has lectured at multiple national and local genealogy conferences throughout the United States.
