Kathleen Cooney

Dr. Kathleen Cooney is Senior Director of Medical Education with the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA). She is former owner of Home to Heaven, P.C., a mobile pet hospice and euthanasia service based in northern Colorado, where she still helps families with euthanasia on her family farm in Loveland. Dr. Cooney is past president of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) and is Adjunct Faculty at Colorado State University where she teaches animal welfare and end-of-life topics to veterinary students. She is well known as a speaker, writer, and researcher in the field of animal hospice and euthanasia.
