Kathleen L. Brockway is a deaf community historian from Washington, D.C., the author focuses on the deaf culture and history. In 2022, she completed graduate studies in Cultural Sustainability at Goucher College (Baltimore, Maryland). Her professional focus is on the public documentation of deaf communities and their cultural legacies including a connection to cultural sustainability. In her spare time, Kathleen travels to document deaf history sites and uses Instagram and Facebook (“Heritage ASL”) to narrate short documentaries about forgotten stories and places of deaf people.
