Kathleen Pennell is the popular author of 15 books. Twelve books are for middle grade/teens including 6 books in the Pony Investigators series, 4 books in the Lancelot Maddox series, and two books in The Adventures in Time series. Currently, there are three books for adults in A Treadwell Mystery series featuring the intrepid Miss Cynthia Treadwell. Book #1, The Face in the Water, involves a murder wherein Miss Treadwell is put to the test as the sole witness. Like the protagonist, the author is also an amateur photographer. Book #2, The Man at the Ruin, Miss Treadwell discovers a dead body and finds herself at the mercy of the murderer. Book #3, The Redemption of the Dead, centers on Charlie, a hitman, who returns to Bedford to silence a witness one of whom is Miss Treadwell. As a reading specialist, she taught children who experienced difficulty learning to read. It gave her an understanding of what children want to read. Kathleen enjoyed hundreds of school author presentations she gave over the years. The transition from middle grade/teen books to adults was an easy one.
