Katie Carey

Katie Carey is a pediatric nurse from Houston, Texas. Together with the amazing providers at Texas Children’s Hospital, Katie has helped to expand services for FND and ARFID. She is a founding member of the Functional Neurological Disorders Society - Pediatric FND Special Interest Group. Mom of twins and nerdy about most things, Katie enjoys translating big ideas about neurology and neuropsychology into small words and fun pictures. When not working with teens and kids in Neurology and Adolescent Medicine, Katie and her twin girls can be found exploring forests, getting messy and shaking things up. Also napping, it’s important to rest, y’all.
