Katja Blum

Katja Blum has been a freelance copywriter, ghostwriter and literary translator for more than twenty-five years. She started writing in the semi-Dark Ages of word processing, B.PC., and still hopes to find a working travel typewriter someday to replace the one she had at age ten. As a development editor and writing teacher, she loves bringing out the best in closeted fiction writers. She convenes a longstanding weekly writers’ circle and teaches workshops for writers of all stripes. A first-generation immigrant from Germany, Katja finds life in the US delightfully odd and inspirational. She is bilingual, which means that she is at a loss for words in two languages most of the time. Katja lives in the piedmont of North Carolina with her husband and youngest son.
