Keilly writes fiction and non-fiction to inspire and empower young people. As Managing Editor of award-winning children’s newspaper, First News, Keilly hears first hand from hundreds of young people on the subjects that matter to them. Her rhyming picture book, The Tigon and the Liger celebrates diversity and loving the skin you’re in and has a strong anti-bullying message. Her non-fiction book How to Make a Better World, aims to inspire young activists and give them the tools they need to make their voices heard and change things for the better. A follow-up to How to Make a Better World is upcoming in 2021. Keilly is honoured to be Artistic Ambassador for inclusive theatre company, Chickenshed, who have developed her work for the stage. The Tigon and the Liger stage show was performed by Chickenshed UK in 2019 and is currently in development by Chickenshed NYC.
