Kenneth Jessen writes two feature stories a week for the Loveland Reporter-Herald and has 20 published books. As a feature story writer, Jessen produces two published articles a week, one covering regional history and the other on the arts. His historic articles also appear in Colorado Central Magazine. He is an instructor for Colorado State University's continuing education program and also lectures on various historical subjects for a variety of organizations. In addition, Jessen leads tours of Rocky Mountain National Park, area ghost towns, mines, mills, country schools and public art. Jessen volunteers for Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins helping develop signage for the trail systems and is involved with an inventory of historic homesteads at Soapstone Natural Area. He is a life member of the Colorado Railroad Museum and has been active in the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club for over a quarter of a century. Jessen lives with his wife Sonje in Loveland.
