
Kerry Pharr is a prolific author, speaker, a former professional boxing trainer and the host of the Christian television program In Your Corner http://www.InYourCorner.info which airs nationally each Monday on the Daystar television network at 1:30 A.M. EST and the NRB network/Direct TV, Channel 378, Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. EST. Pharr has published eight books and is the author of Fight The Good Fight, FTGF is his story of overcoming childhood sexual abuse, drug abuse, crime, his 20 plus years in the sport of boxing and contemplating suicide after losing his first wife Diane to Breast Cancer. Pharr managed and trained many a pugilist in his 20+ plus years in the fight game, working with heavyweight continental champion Keith McKnight and world title challengers Adam Richards, and "Diamond" Jim Mac Donald, rugged light heavyweight, WBF champion, Ken "The Bull" Atkin, WBC junior welterweight Continental champion, Darryl "Fast Fists" Fuller and middleweight contender Donald Bowers. He also turned his life around in a positive direction after trouble in his early years. He relates how he survived setbacks, tragedies, and failures and moved on even while contemplating suicide after the death of his wife to cancer. Pharr relates many of those stories in his book.
