Kevin E Meredith

Born in California during the Cuban Missile Crisis, raised in Illinois and Fort Lauderdale, Kevin Meredith has lived his life guided by the conviction that we're not asking enough questions. An English major with an MBA, he spent seven years as a newspaper reporter and editor, sold a variety of technology over the next several decades, and writes books in his spare time, including Under Penalty of Death: The Untold Story of Machine Gun Kelly's First Kidnapping (Indiana University Press, May 2023). He is married and the father of three sons.
