Kevin Hughes is an historical theologian who teaches at Villanova University. He has published four books and many articles, on Augustine, Bonaventure, Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi, Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, and other great figures in Christian theology and spirituality. A popular public speaker, he has given talks and retreats across the country, with a special focus on how these important voices from the past can continue to speak today. His book *Church History: Faith Handed On* is a short and accessible introduction to Church History designed for people who don't necessarily love history. His current work focuses on Saint Bonaventure and on the 20th-century ressourcement theologian Henri de Lubac, and he has a book in the works on each.
