Kevin Schumaker was educated to be a philosophy professor, became a lawyer, and made a number of good choices and a lot more bad ones. Throughout it all, he has loved words more than anything else. Whether it be the novels of Camus and Vonnegut, the philosophy of Sartre and Foucault, the comedy of Carlin and Martin, or the lyrics of Bowie and Rundgren - words and the way they tumble forward ignoring all rules to connect one with another, one person with another. Words have always been his companion and best friend. Born in Wisconsin in a new subdivision in the middle of nowhere and far from the city center, Kevin has tried to craft a world from the existential heart of American hopes, dreams, addictions, loves, danger, and lies. This is his first attempt to put his vision on paper.
