Hey there! I'm Key de Waal, originally from Panama but now calling the Netherlands home for over 15 years. I'm the creative force behind Key Capas, where I bring to life children's books inspired by mythology. Teaming up with my husband, Nick de Waal, who's the wordsmith behind our stories, we're all about crafting tales that are more than just fun reads. Our books dive into important stuff like standing up to bullies, believing in yourself, and the sacrifices we make to reach our dreams. And guess what? Our three awesome kids are the ones who inspire it all! My days are a mix of being a mom and diving into the world of children's literature. With Nick's love for Norse mythology and my passion for storytelling, we create beautifully illustrated books that aim to entertain and teach at the same time.
