When Kieth Matte left Lebanon High School after his 24th season, he had accumulated over 370 wins and 24 straight tournament appearances. Kieth’s teams won 3 State Championships, 2 runners-up, 9 Final Four appearances and 2 undefeated seasons. Most impressively, the program had 23 winning seasons in his 24 years. Kieth has had countless players and assistant coaches go on to become successful college players, college coaches, and successful professionals and businessmen. Kieth began coaching at Kearsarge High School, assisting his longtime friend Ed Tenney with the Kearsarge Girls program. Kieth moved on to coaching AAU boys. Kieth was named the Men’s Basketball Coach at New England College, where he led the Pilgrims for 2 seasons. After the retirement of Legendary coach Lang Metcalf, Kieth became the boy's coach at Lebanon High School. Kieth had many roles at Lebanon High School, teaching Physics, coaching Football, School Council, union representative, Summer School Principal, Department Chair, and Assistant Principal, to name a few. Kieth attended Kearsarge High School and, ran cross-country, track, played basketball and baseball. Kieth attended the University of New Hampshire, Northeastern, and New England College for a Civil Engineering Degree and then Keene State College for a Master's in Educational Leadership. Currently, Kieth is the Principal at Groveton High School in Groveton, NH.
