Kim Blais is a storyteller, educator, and lifelong adventurer who brings history to life for young readers through engaging and educational fiction. With dual degrees in American Studies and Anthropology and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, Kim combines her academic expertise with a passion for inspiring curiosity and wonder. Her eclectic background includes co-founding a tech startup, designing games at Mama Makes Games, creating educational courses for students young and old, and creating hand-made pottery at Kim’s Clay. She has lived in South Sudan and Mexico and traveled extensively, experiences that fuel her love of discovery and storytelling. Now living in Idaho, Kim enjoys reading historical fiction, making pottery, creating games, and homeschooling her two children still at home. She loves spending time with her husband and four children and hopes her books inspire young readers to see history as an exciting adventure waiting to be explored.
