Kim Donnelly

Kim Donnelly was born and raised in California. In high school her favorite subjects were Chemistry and Math so she pursued a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has worked in the energy industry since 2006. From a young age, she has enjoyed teaching and mentoring others, so her books are intended to be educational in a fun way that appeals to children. She is also a kid at heart. Her interest in teaching through picture books surfaced when she became a mother after reading dozens of board books to her daughter each day. She began writing poems and rhymes to break down STEM topics in a way that kids can understand.
