KIMBERLY BURNHAM, PhD (Integrative Medicine), The Nerve Whisperer Do you want to learn how to write Ekphrastic poetry for an artist friend or found poetry as a gift for an author you know? Do you want to explore a language through dictionary poetry? Check out nervewhisperer solutions and she will write you a poem. A Complementary Medicine practitioner, Kim uses WORDS (books and poetry), health COACHING/guided visualization; HANDS-ON therapies (CranioSacral therapy, acupressure, Matrix Energetics, Reiki, Integrative Manual Therapy templates) and functional medicine (nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine) to help you heal. Do you want some help in healing? Walk better despite Parkinson's disease, Huntington's ataxia or Charcot-Marie-Tooth? Alternatives for autoimmune conditions like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Lyme or lupus? Wondering how to help your child with seizures, autism, CP, scoliosis or Down syndrome? Recently told you have macular degeneration? Want eye exercises to improve driving or reading? Have chronic back or neck pain or a recent a joint replacement? My vision, brain and eyesight expertise started when I was 8 years old in a Colombian jungle. My father, an international businessman, helped me catch a Blue Morpho butterfly. My world was so beautiful. At 28, a professional photographer, I was diagnosed with keratoconus. With his impressive degrees and a stark white coat, an ophthalmologist diagnosed me, You need to consider your life, in case you become blind. It is genetic, so there is nothing you can do. Off I went to massage school, a profession you can do whether you can see or not. Fortunately, I learned approaches for better eye health: massage, acupressure, nutrition, craniosacral therapy, osteopathic manual medicine, integrative manual therapy, matrix energetics ... Five years later, as the director of vision services for a large multidisciplinary clinic, no one could tell me alternative medicine doesn't work. Kimberly's current book project is a book with many ways to say and think about peace, inner peace, world peace, peace of mind and health. When we recognize ourselves in others we are healthier and have less autoimmune diseases. Peace, Paix, Vrede, Paz, Pas, Damai, Shalom, Salaam, Mir, are not all words for peace in the same way. Each word is nuanced by the culture, language and people it grows out of. Each word for peace is a chance to get a different perspective and recognize our shared humanity. Kimberly Burnham here, I have written a series of books to help you feel better and function better because I believe people who feel better make better choices for themselves, their families and their communities. Some of the topics cover sleep, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's ataxia, natural medicine for cold and flu symptoms, diabetic neuropathy, visualization, guided imagery, motor imagery and fractals. I work with all sorts of people from premature babies to 92 year old grandmothers. My special interests are brain, spine and eye health. Part of this is because I have a PhD in Integrative Medicine (2006) and my dissertation focused on eliminating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. I also work with people with multiple sclerosis, Huntington's ataxia, seizures, and autism. My grandfather died of diabetes and my uncle lost his leg to the disease that affects 25 million American, so I also work with individuals with diabetes, diabetic neuropathies, diabetic retinopathies and other autoimmune disease. I uses INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE (energy, information and imagery), MANUAL THERAPY (Touch) and HEALTH COACHING (Words) to help you feel, move & function better. For 20 years I have used hand-on techniques and natural healing to help people with brain/spinal cord problems, including Parkinson's, autism, macular degeneration, Huntington's, diabetic neuropathy. With this move, I continue to look for ways to help physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists and other clinicians everywhere with their hardest clients in US, Canada, Europe, Asia, everywhere.
