Kinna Öhman-Leone

Kinna Öhman-Leone a writer as well as professional dog trainer with a love of understanding dog behavior. Her writings focus on examining who dogs actually are and why they make the choices they do. Her passion is to help people understand their dogs at a deeper level in order to make the most effective choices when working with them. Kinna's classroom for continual inspiration and ideas comes from her professional work running a positive dog training business for ten years with her husband Gene. At Animal Connection Training, they've worked with over 700 dogs and their people - treating everyone an individual with a unique behavior issue that needs to be addressed. Kinna received her professional dog training certification from Karen Pryor Academy in 2015 and is a continual student in dog behavior and positive training methods. She has written for outdoor magazines and was a freelance public radio reporter. She lives in the Adirondack Park with her husband Gene, two border collies, two horses, and five sheep. .
