His diverse roles have spanned consulting engineering, owner’s representation, and HVAC equipment sales, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the AEC sector. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Kirby has held significant leadership positions within several engineering firms and has been an active volunteer and leader within ASHRAE's Triangle Chapter, serving as President for two terms and as Region IV Conference Chair for 2023.
