Kostas Dimitriadis

关于作者

Kostas Dimitriadis began his career as a veterinarian (DVM), dedicating several decades to the field. His profound interest in the intricate relationships between humans and animals led him down a rabbit hole—quite literally sometimes—into anthrozoology, ethology, and cognitive psychology. These disciplines offered him a unique perspective on behavior and cognition, both in animals and humans. (Yes, he has probably psychoanalyzed both his dog and his neighbors at some point.) Throughout his career, Kostas has traveled extensively, exploring diverse cultures around the world. These globe-trotting adventures not only broadened his understanding of human and animal behavior, but also gave him a legitimate excuse to skip the gym. His commitment to animal welfare is evident in his extensive volunteer work with various organizations aimed at protecting animals. Notably, he has contributed to ARCHELON, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece (because, who wouldn’t want to save adorable sea turtles?), and the Hellenic Wildlife Hospital, a prominent center for wildlife care and rehabilitation. He's also spent plenty of time with less glamorous creatures in various animal shelters, proving that every furball deserves a little love. The transition from veterinary work to personal development was, for Kostas, a natural progression—after all, if you’ve spent years figuring out why your cat is ignoring you, human psychology starts to feel like a walk in the park. His experiences and insights gained from years of studying animal behavior and working closely with animals and people informed his understanding of human psychology. (Because, let’s face it, we humans aren’t that different from our furry friends when it comes to misbehaving.) This unique blend of knowledge became the foundation for his writings. Kostas approaches life with a philosophical but also mischievous attitude. His books and articles reflect this playful balance, offering readers deep insights into human behavior and cognitive psychology, with a gentle reminder not to take life—or themselves—too seriously. After all, life is far too short for that, and humor is the best antidote for taking things too seriously... including the jokes. His work not only promotes self-improvement but also emphasizes the importance of laughing along the way. Through his writings, he bridges the gap between human psychology and the natural world, advocating a holistic (and occasionally cheeky) approach to self-awareness and personal growth.
