Krista Towns is devoted to improving our personal health and the environment by including more mushrooms into our diets. She is the culinary editor of Fungi magazine, the highest circulation mushroom publication in North America, and the culinary advisor and recipe developer for Circular Farm-a premier mushroom farm located in Jackson, SC . She holds a Mushroom Foraging Certification for food service in 18 states and is an active member of the North American Mycological Association. Krista has achieved award-winning success as a food sport competitor and recipe developer, achieving award-winning success in national chef’s recipe competitions. Her recipes are included in “Yucatán Cuisine” and in an upcoming cookbook published by the National Kidney Foundation. She provides all photography for Mushroom Gastronomy and is a recipient of multiple national and international awards for her artwork and photography, including from Communications Arts, the New York Society of Illustrators and the American Society of Magazine Editors.
