Kristin Baver is the Associate Editor of StarWars.com, covering Star Wars news, writing interview features on George Lucas and other important figures in the Star Wars galaxy, and spotlighting and celebrating the dedicated Star Wars fan community and their impressive and imaginative creations. She is also the host of This Week! in Star Wars and The Star Wars Show Book Club and a frequent contributor to Star Wars Insider, the official magazine. Before she became a card-carrying member of the Star Wars Fan Club -- really! -- she fell in love with space, the final frontier. Bylines include articles in the official Star Trek Magazine and on a variety of websites including SyfyWire. She previously worked as journalist covering crime and social issues in central Pennsylvania, where she was an eight-time Keystone Press Award winner and the 2014 recipient of a Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors Award for investigative reporting on the scourge of methamphetamine. For four years she worked as a literary critic and features writer for Publishers Weekly, where she primarily reviewed young adult sci-fi and fantasy novels. Now she lives with her tabby cat, Hector Smidget, in San Francisco, California.
