Kristina Smith

Kristina Smith has worked in the education field for almost two decades. After graduating with a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, Kristina became a special needs teacher for Hillsborough County Public Schools. This job led to Kristina pursuing her master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. Upon graduating, Kristina became a psychotherapist to children with various mental health diagnoses. Combining this experience with her passion for helping children with learning difficulties, Kristina began working as a private tutor with Heather MacLeod-Vidal at Treetops Educational Interventions. Since then, she and Heather have used their knowledge and experiences to create a curriculum based on the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching. Kristina currently resides in Panama City Beach, with her husband. She loves to cook, travel, and watch movies.
