LaTanya Culberath

With over a decade of teaching experience, LaTanya has had the privilege of shaping young minds and mentoring teachers who are just beginning their journey in the classroom. Supporting educators with less than five years of experience has fueled her passion for helping teachers not only succeed but flourish in this rewarding yet challenging profession. She is the author of the Nic and Sam children’s book series, which creatively introduces literacy and instructional best practices through engaging and relatable stories. This series was inspired by her dedication to addressing the literacy crisis across the country and providing practical, accessible solutions for students and educators alike. Through her work, she realized the importance of empowering teachers by offering strategies to bring structure and calm to the chaos of the classroom. This desire to support and retain great educators led to her upcoming book, Classroom Systems for Intentional Teaching: How to Build Systems that Promote Reflection, Reduce Burnout, and Center Student Success. Set to release in February 2025, this book is a heartfelt guide designed to help teachers take control of their classrooms, rediscover their passion, and create meaningful, student-centered learning environments.
