Willa B. Miller (transitioning to Baker) PhD is a teacher, author and translator. She is author of four books: Essence of Ambrosia (Library of Tibetan Works and Archives), Everyday Dharma (Quest Books) and The Arts of Contemplative Care (Wisdom Publications) and The Wakeful Body (Shambhala Publication, upcoming). She has contributed articles and chapters in a number of anthologies and journals. Willa has been studying, practicing and teaching Tibetan Buddhist meditation since 1986. While completing her last year of college, she moved into a Buddhist monastery intending to stay "for a few months" but ended up staying for 15 years. During this time, she became a Buddhist nun, learned Tibetan and completed many years of silent retreat under the guidance of her teachers. She is the founder and Spiritual Director of Natural Dharma Fellowship and Wonderwell Mountain Refuge in New Hampshire, USA. She is authorized as a lama (Buddhist teacher), and her PhD in Buddhist Studies is from Harvard University.
