Lara Shannon

Lara Shannon was born in 1972 in Adelaide, South Australia. A certified dog trainer, pet behaviourist and television presenter, Lara is passionate about improving the lives of companion animals. The well-known animal welfare advocate, Lara started her career in radio and television in the early 90’s and has been the media spokesperson for a number of high profile animal welfare and conservation organisations internationally. She starred in the TV documentary, Ecochick Adventures: The Trans Borneo Challenge to raise awareness about the plight of the orangutan and presents popular Australian TV show Pooches at Play. She also features in the new factual TV series The Pet Rescuers in 2021 and reaches people across the globe with her website Poochesatplay.com As a leading dog expert and pet food nutritionist, Lara’s debut book Eat, Play, Love (Your Dog) is the ultimate guide for any dog lover around the world. Lara is currently working on her second dog book due for release late 2021.
