Laura Hansen

Laura is an author who has taught junior high, middle school, and high school, run a small business, been a music camp counselor, a customer service rep, and most recently, a legal assistant. Her first book was "A Little Unorthodox: A High School Handbook for Instructors" (2019). She began writing a few years after battling cancer during 2008-2009. Her second book is about this very topic, entitled "Thriving through Cancer" (2020). Ironically, Laura is fighting Metastatic Breast Cancer now, diagnosed in 2023. She wonders if she should change her 2020 book to "Thriving through Cancer...Just Kidding!" Next, delving into fiction, Laura writes about young Rebecca, tossed into a private school in the 1970s, an institution rife with bullying. "Rebecca's Rules" and "Priests, Poetry, and Power" (2024) are the first two books of five in "The Surviving St. Sebastian Series." How will the main character fight through these challenges without losing herself?
